What is Psychotherapy?

 

We have all developed a range of beliefs, values, decisions and behaviours during the most formative years of our lives.  Over time they have been modified, added to and reinforced through subsequent life experiences.  This growing-up process creates our self image, systems of values and beliefs, hopes and fears, patterns of habitual behaviour and our emotional base-line state. 

Not all of this is helpful and it is not surprising that many of us end up confused about who exactly we are, the direction we are headed in and what we are entitled to expect from life.  In addition, some of us develop unacceptably high levels of anxiety that generally result in a range of health problems.

 

Individual therapy helps you tease apart what feels like a confusing and hopeless tangle. You can learn to develop a clearer sense of self, replace limiting beliefs in exchange for more powerful and enabling ones.  In addition, you can learn to develop liberating emotional management tools that enable you to re-balance your emotional, psychological and physical state. 

Many have found a new and liberating freedom that has helped them develop a stronger and more realist self-image, grow in confidence, and create clear and compelling outcomes for various areas of their lives.
