Smoking Cessation
Most of us, when we attempt an important task and fail, are left with negative emotions that can undermine our self esteem and motivation. This can result in a reluctance to try again which further adds to low self-esteem and a deeper sense of failure and powerlessness.
Find the right method
Many smokers who want to be free from nicotine addiction are usually highly motivated and genuinely want to stop. While media scare tactics have an obvious initial impact, they do little to help smokers stop smoking and they continue to look for a method that will help them convert their desire and motivation into action.
Hypnosis for Smoking Cessation
Research studies into hypnosis for smoking cessation indicate that this method is highly effective. For example, the America Journal of Clinical Hypnosis reported that a study by T. Von Dedenroth, based on 1000 smokers using hypnotherapy, indicated that hypnosis was over 90% successful for this group.
An article in the New Scientist (October 1992) put hypnosis at the top of the list for effective treatment for giving up smoking.
“‘Hypnosis is the most effective way of giving up smoking’, according to the largest ever scientific comparison of ways of breaking the habit”
